Steal An Egg Defense: Finish the Return Route

Read the chase warning, respond to a lost carry and reach the Safe Zone with an egg.

Your next move

Face the way back before taking an egg. When RUN!! appears, leave the guardian and continue toward the SAFE ZONE marking. If a hit leaves you without the egg, complete another pickup before resuming the return.

Know the way out before pickup

Look back toward the home-side shops and the SAFE ZONE marking before committing to an egg. Choose a return line that leaves room to move past the nearby guardian.

  1. Complete the egg’s pickup prompt. In the illustrated attempt, E progresses around a circle before the character holds the egg.
  2. Once RUN!! and Drop appear, turn toward the exit and start the return. Keep the guardian in view long enough to avoid turning back into it.

Recognize when the carry has failed

In the first attempt, the scorpion closes beside the carrier. The character is flung down and no longer holds the egg; RUN!! and Drop disappear. Reaching the exit after that state would not bring this egg home.

Pick up again and finish the return

  1. After recovering from the knockdown, approach an available egg and complete its E pickup prompt again.
  2. Check for the held egg and the reappearing Drop control, then take the route back toward the home-side stalls.
  3. Cross the line marked SAFE ZONE. In this sequence, RUN!! disappears and an egg appears in the selected item-bar slot.

Follow the return path

Leave space around other players

AllThings.How’s August 16 guide reports that bat hits can ragdoll carriers, while ground bear traps hold players and make them drop eggs.

Give approaching players and visible traps room when choosing the return line. Keep moving toward home with the egg rather than stopping to contest another player’s route.
