How to Steal an Egg: Pick Up, Recover and Return

Follow a recorded nest-to-pen route, recover a dropped egg when its interaction is still available and check the game’s return confirmation.

Your next move

Complete the pickup, carry the egg toward the Safe Zone and wait for the game’s successful-steal confirmation. If the egg falls to the ground, recheck its pickup interaction before continuing. A growing egg in your pen is the next state; it is not yet a hatched pet.

Plan this task
  1. Start with the return path in view
  2. Recover the dropped egg before resuming the route
  3. Cross into the base area and check the result
  4. Place the secured egg and read its growth state
  5. Two reported ways a rival carrier can be interrupted

Start with the return path in view

The route shown here comes from mayrushart’s August 20, 2026 upload; its exact client build is not identified. It follows a tan spiked egg from its nest, through interrupted carrying attempts, into the player’s pen. The keyboard recording shows E interactions.

From this nest, the return direction goes back across the tan-to-green boundary, past the earlier green sections, toward the base-side Safe Zone marking. Identify that direction before taking the egg. The nearby sign uses recommended wording; it does not promise that a loaded return cannot be interrupted.

Approach the intended egg and complete its displayed pickup interaction. In the recording, the next state has the egg carried by the avatar, a RUN banner and a Drop control. Those cues distinguish carrying from merely standing beside the nest.

Recover the dropped egg before resuming the route

The first carrying attempt ends with the egg on the green ground and the avatar falling away from it. This footage does not establish who or what caused that interruption. At 2:26, the player returns to the same egg and fills its E interaction again; the carrying state then resumes.

If this happens to you, check that the egg is still there and still offers its pickup action. Complete that action before running onward. A dropped object is not already secured in your inventory, and this example is not a promise that every dropped egg will remain available.

  1. Locate the dropped egg after the interruption.
  2. Approach until its pickup interaction appears.
  3. Complete the interaction and confirm that carrying has resumed.
  4. Continue toward the base-side Safe Zone instead of treating the failed carry as a completed theft.

Cross into the base area and check the result

The recording includes another fall near the return boundary before the player completes the crossing. At 2:32, the native You stole an EGG message appears and the egg has a hotbar slot. Seeing the Safe Zone lettering ahead is not the same result as receiving that confirmation.

Use the confirmation and the new item state as your endpoint. These frames show a successful recovery route, without proving a universal minimum Speed, a fixed safe escape time or immunity to another interruption.

Place the secured egg and read its growth state

Take the secured egg to your pen and place it. The recorded egg then has its own countdown in the pen. That is a growing egg rather than an already active pet.

Read the interaction label before pressing it. During this countdown, the visible action says Skip Growth. Continue with Hatch once the egg is Ready, then place or equip the resulting pet as shown in the first-pet route. The recorded countdown is one egg’s state, not a standard duration for every egg.

Two reported ways a rival carrier can be interrupted

The August 16 report describes the tools below. The dropped-egg route above does not demonstrate either tool causing its two falls, so their reported effects are kept separate from the recorded recovery.

ToolReported effect
Baseball batA hit ragdolls the player and throws them away
Bear trapA player stepping on it is trapped for five seconds and drops the egg
